PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a data communication method using the same are provided to offer an interface which applies a control command related to paring with an external electronic device. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit (110) recognizes an external electronic device by using a wireless signal. A display unit (151) receives touch inputs. The display unit displays an image object indicating the recognition state of the external electronic device.
