The touch sensor (10,200) has substrates (202A,202B) that are equipped with several electrodes on respective surfaces. Specific portions of the substrates are disconnected by a dielectric material (206) arranged between the substrate portions. The electrodes arranged on the substrates are configured to form capacitive coupling nodes for detecting the touch contact by an object. Specific portion of substrate (202B) is deformed by pressing, so that the conductive surfaces of two substrates are electrically coupled with each other.
