A flood barrier arrangement (2) with two frames that are expandable in at least two directions in a structural opening. The separation between the frames is bridged or closed by a projection (34), that could be a finger, extending from one frame (12) and may be accommodated or received in the second frame (3), ensuring a continuous outer frame. The barrier is conveniently fitted in openings such as doors to provide a temporary barrier to rising floodwaters. The frames are preferably expandable in mutually perpendicular directions. One frame may be an elongate body (12, 13). A cover membrane may cover the frame to make it water-tight and seal the windows or doors. |
