PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a glycopeptide and a glycoamino acid capable of supplying a large amount of the glycopeptide and the glycoamino acid having a sugar chain necessary for producing a glycoprotein at low cost.SOLUTION: A method of producing a glycopeptide, in which sugar of the glycopeptide is a sugar chain constituted by bonded sialic acids, includes a glycopeptide separation step of separating the glycopeptide from an egg of an emu (Dromaiusnovaehollandiae). A method of producing a glycoamino acid includes a glycoamino acid separation step of separating the glycoamino acid from the glycopeptide, and, in the glycoamino acid separation step, the glycopeptide is the one that is obtained by the method of producing the glycopeptide. A method of producing a glycoprotein includes a sugar chain bonding step of bonding the sugar chain with a protein, wherein at least one of the sugar chain of the glycopeptide produced by the method of producing the glycopeptide and the sugar chain of the glycoamino acid produced by the method of producing the glycoamino acid is used as the sugar chain. |
