<p>The invention relates to a process for preparing a bioactive food supplement for animals by processing the fresh ruminal content in the slaughtering house, which is stored in a container maintained on a water bath, at a temperature of 39°C, with the admixture of 0.5...1.5 parts of starch and 0.5...1.5 parts of sucrose per part of ruminal content, the parts being expressed by weight. After an interval of 1...5 h, the so treated ruminal content is filtered through a cotton gauze filter while pressing the rests of vegetable material, the liquid is centrifuged and then filtered through a coarse muslin cloth. The resulting product is meant to be administered, for example, in the fodder of cattle in order to improve the quality of protozoan in the ruminal liquid thereof and thus their capacity to metabolize certain mycotoxins.</p> |
