PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical film for suppressing scratches generated in the center of the film when the film thickness is greatly different at both ends and the center of the film in a solution casting film forming method.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing an optical film casts a dope being material solution of the optical film F from a casting die 3 onto a support 7, peels the die from the support 7, and conveys the die with a tenter 10 to manufacture the optical film F. The method controls the film thickness after drying both ends of the optical film when casting onto the support to be ≥20 μm thicker than after drying the flat center, and the amount of variation in the film thickness per 5 cm in a width direction to be ≥2.5 μm and ≤10 μm. |
