PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and a communication device control method which avoid excessive concentration of a processing load on a timer managing protocol entities, thereby restraining a decline in processing performance.SOLUTION: A control section 12 has stored in a storage section 13 a plurality of entities to be processed at the same time of day, the entities being correlated to one and the same timer, and when the processing time of day indicated by the timer comes along, the control section 12 executes processing of the plurality of entities correlated to the timer. When the number of entities to be processed at the same time of day is greater than a preset upper-limit number, the control section 12 controls operation in such a way that entity processing is terminated when the processed number of entities reaches the upper-limit number, and that unprocessed entities among the plurality of entities to be processed at the same time of day are processed at the next processing time of the timer. |
