NEW FATTY ACIDS HAVING PHYSIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY COMPRISING ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY, MARINE MICROORGANISM PRODUCING THE NEW FATTY ACIDS AND PRODUCING METHOD OF THE NEW FATTY ACIDS USING THE MARINE MICROORGANISM

PURPOSE: A novel fatty acid compound with various physiological activities and a method for preparing the same are provided to commercially supply an antimicrobial formulation defending bioterrorism. CONSTITUTION: A marine Bacillus sp. microorganism (deposit number KCTC 11975BP) produces compounds of chemical formulas 1-4. A fatty acid compound of chemical formula 4 has an antibacterial activity. A method for preparing the fatty acid comprises: a step of culturing the marine Bacillus sp. microorganism in a modified Bennett medium of pH 7.6 in a salinity of 12 g/L, containing 0.1% of the marine Bacillus sp. microorganism, 0.1% of a yeast extract, 0.2% of a beef extract, 0.2% of tryptone, and 1% dextrose; a step of centrifuging the culture and extracting the supernatant with ethyl acetate (EtOAc); a step of evaporating and drying the ethyl acetate layer and fractioning the remaining suspension by column chromatography; and a step of purifying the compounds of chemical formulas 1-4 from the fraction.
