摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve a display performance of a liquid crystal device by solving such a problem that, when the liquid crystal device is viewed from a lower visual field angle, a part where grayscale is discontinuous by a dithering process is remarkably present in a high luminance part. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for converting a gradation number of video data to be input, there is provided the method for driving a liquid crystal display device for: extracting video data having a grayscale of a high luminance part from the input video data so as to discriminate first video data corresponding to the grayscale of the high luminance part and second video data corresponding to grayscale other than the grayscale of the high luminance part; and performing no dithering process for the first video data and performing the dithering process for the second video data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
