LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to minimize a leakage current through a static electricity protection circuit in case a static electricity is not generated by switching a fifth TFT[Thin Film Transistor] by making the static electricity prevention circuit use a coupling effect of a capacitor. CONSTITUTION: A static electricity which flows in is supplied to a first node(N1) through a first TFT(T1). Third and fourth TFTs(T3,T4) turn on. A voltage level of a second node(N2) rapidly rises by a coupling effect of a capacitor(C). The rapidly risen voltage of the second node is supplied to a third node(N3) through the third and fourth TFTs and turns on a fifth TFT(T5). The fifth TFT forms a current path between a signal line(L1) and common line(L2) and discharges the static electricity to the signal line or the common line.
