PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting a state of a secondary battery which performs an accurate fault diagnosis of AD converters even if a fault diagnostic voltage varies.

SOLUTION: The device for detecting a state of a secondary battery which has a plurality of AD converters (18-20) for converting analog values detected for state detection of the secondary battery to digital values includes: a fault diagnostic power supply (15) for inputting a fault diagnostic voltage into the plurality of AD converters simultaneously at a fault diagnosis of the plurality of AD converters; and a computing section (16) for comparing output values of the plurality of AD converters with one another to make a fault determination.
