The housing has an intermediate piece designed in a specific geometric shape and formed from an arbitrary cast iron or steel by a surface treatment process. The intermediate piece is provided between an exhaust gas outlet of an engine i.e. petrol engine, and a turbo supercharger. Highly loaded surfaces of the housing are treated with physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating or chemical vapor deposition (CVD) coating using a laser/electron beam process.
