<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open and close a platen faced to a print head by the prescribed interval without interfering the cutting mechanism of the recording paper and the print head. <P>SOLUTION: The print head 20 is installed by the posture to turn to not horizontal but obliquely upward, and corresponding to this, a platen 21 faced to a head surface 20a of the print head with the constant interval is installed in the inclined state to the opening/closing frame 51, and the rotation center 43a of this opening/closing frame 51 is located downward more than the head surface 20a of the print head. The movement trajectory 21A of the upper end of the platen 21 becomes an arc that goes away not the upper side but the backward from the head surface of the print head and does not interfere the print head 20. The space that does not touch the movement trajectory of the platen 21 is provided right above the print head 20 and the platen 21, and miniaturization or downsizing of the printer can be achieved by arranging the parts of the cutting mechanism of the recording paper and the parts etc. of the transport mechanism of the recording paper between a second route 36 and a first route 15 to be provided this space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
