<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus capable of suppressing noise without spoiling operability while eliminating a gap between a ball and an apparatus housing as an electronic apparatus with a track ball unit. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a portable electronic apparatus 1 including the track ball unit comprising a ball 10a arranged rotatably, detection means (16, 17) mounted on an electronic substrate 14 and detecting rotation of the ball, unit housings (12, 13) housing the ball and detection means inside, and an elastic annular member 15 pressing the ball stored in the unit housings in one direction in the unit housings.
