<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide advantageous coding. <P>SOLUTION: Encoding a signal is provided. Frequency and amplitude information of at least one sinusoidal component in the signal is determined, and sinusoidal parameters representing the frequency and amplitude information are transmitted.
