This power-feed device is provided with the following: a power-transmission unit that transmits power using a magnetic field or an electric field; a power-limitation unit disposed on a power-supply line from an external power supply to the power-transmission unit; and a shutoff unit that forcibly stops the transmission of power. The shutoff unit forcibly stops the transmission of power if the voltage between the input and output of the power-limitation unit exceeds a first threshold. The power-limitation unit forcibly cuts off the supply of power to the power-transmission unit if the voltage between the input and output exceeds a second threshold, said second threshold being higher than the first threshold.
