PURPOSE: Impedance control device and method are provided to perform optimum impedance matching in various frequency ranges by applying inductance suitable for an antenna characteristic. CONSTITUTION: An impedance control device(300) includes a detection unit(320) detecting a transmission power level signal amplified by a power amplifier and a reflective power level signal reflected from an antenna, an analog digital converter(330) converting the detected signals into a digital signal, an impedance matching circuit(310) controlling an impedance variation range between the power amplifier and the antenna through more than one inductor and switch and a control unit(340) controlling the impedance matching circuit to control the impedance variation range according to the frequency range of the detected signals.
