<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing SPS pellets capable of suppressing occurrence of surging in an extruder. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the styrene based polymer pellets by polymerizing a styrene monomer using polymerization catalyst in the polymerization unit to produce a powdery material containing a styrene based polymer having mainly a syndiotactic structure, and melting and extruding the powdery material in the extruder, before the powdery material is fed to the extruder from the polymerization reactor, the deactivating agent of the polymerization catalyst is added to the powdery material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
