PURPOSE: A remote state information monitoring method and an apparatus thereof are provided to immediately handle a blocking by remotely monitoring the state of a satellite broadcasting optical receiving device. CONSTITUTION: A satellite broadcasting optical receiving device(220) provides a satellite broadcasting signal to a satellite-IPTV set top box(240)(S601). IPTV data is transmitted and received between an optical communication device for subscribers(230) and the satellite-IPTV set top box. The satellite broadcasting optical receiving device generates state information which is satellite broadcasting optical receiving device state information(S603). The satellite broadcasting optical receiving device state information is transmitted to the satellite-IPTV set top box(S604). The satellite-IPTV set top box generates IPTV operation management data(S605). The optical communication device for subscribers receives the satellite broadcasting optical receiving device state information and the IPTV operation management data from the satellite-IPTV set top box(S606), converts the information and data into an optical signal(S607), and delivers the information to an optical communication device for communication company(60). The optical communication device for communication company converts the optical signal of the received satellite broadcasting optical receiving device state information and IPTV operation management data into a communication signal which is an electric signal(S609). Thereafter, the optical communication device for communication company transmits the state information of the optical receiving device to a satellite broadcasting state monitoring device(250)(S610). The satellite broadcasting state monitoring device confirms the information and is able to conform the state of the satellite broadcasting optical receiving device(S611). Moreover, the optical communication device for communication company transmits the converted IPTV operation management data to an IPTV state monitoring device(260)(S612), and the IPTV state monitoring device confirms the data and is able to confirm the state of the satellite-IPTV set top box(S613).
