The hood (1) has an extraction screen (11) i.e. extraction drawer, displaceably arranged relative to a fume extraction housing (10). A switch (100) i.e. rocker switch, for functioning the hood is arranged at the housing. A key system (3) e.g. mechanical key system, is arranged at the screen for actuating the switch at the housing. The key system actuates a mechanical actuating element of the switch. The key system is partially extended through a handle strip (110) of the screen. The key system cooperates with the switch in a retracted state of the screen.
