<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virucidal agent for applying to fibers used for articles for protective wear, masks and the like. <P>SOLUTION: There is disclosed fibers in which nanoparticles of the compound of the general formula M<SB POS="POST">n</SB>X<SB POS="POST">y</SB>(wherein M represents an element such as calcium, aluminum, zinc, nickel, tungsten, copper and silicon; n denotes an integer of 1-3; and X represents oxygen or an anion such as a phosphate ion, hydrogen phosphate ion, dihydrogen phosphate ion, carbonate ion, sulfate ion, nitrate ion, or the like, and y denotes an integer of 0-4) are applied to fibers and made to be an article for protective wear or a filter, and which is coated with the nanoparticles used for reducing and/or protecting virus infection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
