An extrusion-blow moulding apparatus comprises two extrusion heads 20 fed alternately from an extruder 11 and each having an accumulator cylinder 20 within which is a reciprocable plunger 33. The plunger 33 is connected to a piston within a cylinder the fluid supply to which is controlled by a pressure varying valve 51 mounted in a bracket 41 fixed to the top of the cylinder. The actuating plunger 52 of the valve 51 carries a roller which co-operates with a cam 59 removably connected to the piston rod to determine the varying pressure supplied to the piston in the cylinder 37 and thus the pressure acting on the plunger 33 so varying correspondingly the wall thickness of the extrudate which is received by a mould 67 and blown through the extruder mandrel 27.
