MULTI-STEP LASER CORRECTION OF OPHTHALMIC REFRACTIVE ERRORS

A technique of refractive eye correction employs multiple steps to correct
refractive errors in the eye. In the first step, gross decentrations of the
refractive error are corrected, allowing the subsequent steps to be relatively
symmetric in their treatment profile. Then, the eye''s refractive error is
again measured, and a subsequent treatment is applied for the remaining error.
The overall treatment is thus completed in two or more steps.
