<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio distance measuring switch capable of favorably detecting a thing left behind or the like while reducing the consumption of batteries, and having high convenience and practicality, a radio distance detecting system, a portable terminal, a program thereof, and a wireless tag. <P>SOLUTION: A radio detection program transmits an inquiry signal at intervals according to an operation mode. Wireless tags 300 of respective carrying items transmit their own IDs as response signals. When the response signals are received by a near field communication part of a cellular phone 100, the radio detection program detects the distances from the intensities of the response signals and, when a signal becomes out of reach of a setting value of the operation mode, turns on a display alarm of a carrying button of the corresponding carrying item and at the same time commands an output of an alarm to the wireless tag 300 of the carrying item under a caution needed mode.
