The arrangement (10) has a pot-shaped outer housing (16) provided with an elongated peripheral wall (20) and a base (22) in a direction of a longitudinal direction (L). A flow space (28) is formed between a pot-shaped inner housing (18) and the outer housing for fluid to be heated. Another flow space (34) is formed in an inside of the inner housing at an axial end region. The latter flow space is axially closed by an end wall (38). The housings are fluid-tightly connected in a connection portion (50) that lies in the longitudinal direction of a connection inclined plane (E2). An independent claim is also included for a fuel-powered vehicle heater.
