An undermining unit of a root harvesting machine, consisting of a frame, oscillating mechanisms and frame ploughshares mounted hingedly. In addition, a single frame ploughshare is made of a front loosening element and a rear loosening one, lying in the same plane. Each of the latters is made in the lower part as gauge curves of varying curvature. In doing so the loosening elements are movably connected by the upper crossbar which is parallel to the horizontal plane and the lower crossbar inclined at an angle α = 7-23° to the horizontal plane. |
