<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens having a small and light-weight focusing group suitable for taking a moving image, and an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The zoom lens includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group having a positive refractive power, a second lens group having a negative refractive power, a third lens group having a positive refractive power, a fourth lens group having a positive refractive power, and a fifth lens group having a negative refractive power. During zooming from a wide angle end to a telephoto end, each of the lens groups moves. The fourth lens group is moved in an optical axis direction to correct variations in the imaging position caused by the zooming, and also to correct variations in the imaging position caused by object distance variation. The zoom lens satisfies the following conditional expression: (1) 0.60<f1/(fw*ft)<SP POS="POST">1/2</SP><1.10, where f1 is the focal length of the first lens group, fw is the focal length of the entire system at the wide angle end, and ft is the focal length of the entire system at the telephoto end. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
