<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which enables a viewer to easily recognize whether a signal type and display state of a content to be output is 2D or 3D. <P>SOLUTION: As 2D and 3D video display of a liquid crystal television 10, there are 4 types including: (1) 3D signal reception → 3D video display; (2) 3D signal reception → forced 2D video display; (3) 2D signal reception → 2D video display; and (4) 2D signal reception → pseudo 3D video display. A status display setting section 56 of a liquid crystal television 10 determines a signal type of an input signal (original signal) from a digital reception part 30 or an external device 11, to specify whether the original signal is a 3D signal or a 2D signal, determines whether a display state of a screen is a 3D display or not, and luminously and distinguishably displays the relation between the signal type of the original signal and the display state onto a 3D state display part 70 placed on an outer panel frame part of the liquid crystal television 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
