<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide for example, a conveyance device for conveying a sheet-like object stored like a roll, which efficiently and properly brakes a driving wheel, and thereby properly conveys the sheet-like object with less trouble. <P>SOLUTION: The conveyance device includes: a roll medium which is a sheet-like medium wound like a roll shape, and which is rotatable around the center axis of a roll; the driving roller that feeds the sheet-like medium from the roll medium; and first and second braking devices that apply a load to the rotation of the roll medium.
