<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control device for vehicle that can decrease unpleasant shock generated in vehicle in connecting a clutch mechanism and a control method of vehicle drive. <P>SOLUTION: An electric motor 6 is arranged in series between an engine 2 and driving wheels 18R, and 18L. A clutch device 5 is installed between the engine 2 and an electric motor 6, and driving wheel 18R and 18L are driven by the engine 2 or the electric motor 6.
