The present invention relates to an adhesion substrate for at least one animal or human cell, at the surface of which an adhesion unit for at least one animal or human cell is created, said unit comprising at least two zones which adhere to said cell, which are spaced apart by a zone which does not adhere to said cell, on which a polymer which does not adhere to said cell is immobilized, characterized in that the polymer is selected so as to exhibit a conformation which can be modified by variation of a parameter of the environment in which the substrate is situated, to a method for preparing such a substrate and to the cell analysis methods using such a substrate.
