<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an observer to easily recognize a structure of a blood vessel or the like included in an optoacoustics image even when a waveform of a photoacoustic signal can be obtained only from one side of a tubular structure of a blood vessel or the like. <P>SOLUTION: Light is emitted to a subject from a laser unit 13, and thereafter a photoacoustic signal generated in the subject is detected using a probe 11. An optoacoustics image is generated from the detected photoacoustic signal by using an optoacoustics image reconstruction means 24, a detecting phase/logarithmic transformation means 25, and an optoacoustics image construction means. A blood vessel detection means 26 detects a blood vessel as a tubular structure from the optoacoustics image. A blood vessel correction means 27 obtains a width for a blood vessel in which a wall portion of a light traveling direction interior side is deficient when the blood vessel is seen from a front side of the light traveling direction among detected blood vessels. The blood vessel correction means 27 considers the obtained width to be a diameter of the light traveling direction of the blood vessel, and performs the interpolation generation of the wall portion that is deficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
