Novelty: A method meant to reduce friction and superheating of aircraft's tyres while landing is disclosed. Constitution: A mechanism designed for the rotation of wheels, which mechanism is composedof a hydraulic motor of different types (fig. 1,2,3,4) and an electronic system monitoring the revs of the motor receiving data and commands from the central aircraft's processor. Purpose: To reduce at a minimum possible the wear and tear of the aircraft's tyres during the landing phase. Advantages: Reduction -at a great extent- of the wear and tear of the aircraft's tyres, since slipping and, consequently, friction thereof -when in contact with the landing runway- is nullified; small-volume and low-weighted hydraulic motors; fast modification of revs for excellent results answering the requirements of the invention; utilisation of the existing hydraulic circuit monitoring and lowering the aircraft's wheels for landing upon actuation of the invented system. |
