<p>The invention relates to a method pertaining to a parallel hybrid system (299) for propulsion of a motor vehicle (100; 110) comprising a combustion engine (230) in combination with an electrical machine configuration (250, 253, 255) which includes an electrical machine (250). The method comprises the step, during an initial movement phase of the vehicle's propulsion, of running an extra electrical machine (257) by means of said engine (230) to supply power to the electrical machine (250) of the electrical machine configuration, which extra electrical machine (257) is also used during said initial movement phase to supply power to at least one consumer unit (290). The invention relates also to a computer programme product containing programme code (P) for a computer (210; 220) to implement a method according to the invention.
