<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly and quickly clean a surface of a top plate by providing a guide mechanism that can precisely locate electromagnetic cookers such as a pan at a predetermined portion of the top plate for efficient electromagnetic cooking. <P>SOLUTION: A guide mechanism comprises a rectangular frame-shaped guide member 10a, and a pair of right and left guide support members 10b. The guide member 10a has a curved positioning part 12c swollen forward, and the guide support members 10b have a reception part 15a receiving vertical frame parts 11a, 11b of the guide member 10a. The guide member 10a is isolated from the top plate 22 by a predetermined height, so as to position the positioning part 12c above a front peripheral edge at a predetermined portion (indication portion A) of a top plate 22, guide a pan C inserted in the positioning part 12c to be precisely located on the indication portion A.
