<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which prevents the generation of arc discharge between terminals even when connectors in a half-fitted state are separated from each other due to impact, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A connector 10 comprises: a connector body 10M; a lever 10L; a handle 10H which moves in a fitting direction when the lever 10L is gripped; and a release lever 11 which prevents the lever 10L from returning when the connector is in a fitted state. A lock hole 11H is provided at the end of a lock arm 11Z branching from the release lever 11. An electromagnetic coil 13 is provided which has a plunger 13P to enter the lock hole 11H when the connector is in a completely fitted state and is being excited.
