<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive device able to stably control an actuator for optical pickup by independently controlling a light spot in the case of tracking a guide track and a light spot in the case of recording or reproducing information on each recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: A light spot in the case of tracking the guide track and a light spot in the case of recording or reproducing information on each recording layer are independently controlled.
