PURPOSE: A food waste treatment system is provided to rapidly compost food waste by promoting the fermentation of the food waste and reducing bad odor from the food waste. CONSTITUTION: A food waste treatment system includes a microorganism-based treatment unit. The microorganism-based treatment unit includes a microorganism-based fermenting bath, a stirrer, an air supplying part, an oxygen sensor, an oxygen supplying part(600), and a controller. The stirrer stirs food waste loaded in the microorganism-based fermenting bath with quicklime. The air supplying part supplies air to the food waste in the microorganism-based fermenting bath. The oxygen sensor measures the concentration of oxygen in the microorganism-fermenting bath. The controller controls the oxygen supplying part to supply oxygen into the oxygen supplying pipe(610) according to the reference concentration value of the oxygen.
