FAULT DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD

PURPOSE: A malfunction diagnosing system and a method thereof are provided to supply malfunction diagnosing results according to priority by integrating correlation between the malfunction diagnosing results into the knowledge of a driving expert. CONSTITUTION: A tree forming unit(110) forms diagnosis items for malfunction diagnosis in a tree structure. A pattern forming unit(120) forms a pattern classifier on each layer of the tree structure. A diagnosis providing unit(130) provides a malfunction diagnosing result outputted from the pattern classifier according to priority. The diagnosis providing unit includes a weighted value applying unit(131) applying a weighted value to the malfunction diagnosing result. The diagnosis providing unit calculates a diagnosis result score by multiplying the weighted value by a correlation value of the malfunction diagnosing result.
