<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the area and volume of an area coated with a liquid body can be hardly measured because a contrast cannot be provided between the area coated with the liquid body and an area except the area coated with the liquid body, when an almost transparent liquid body for forming a luminous layer for use in, for example, an organic EL device is used as the liquid body. <P>SOLUTION: A droplet discharge evaluation method for observing the coated area permeated by a functional fluid having a solute contained in a solvent or the transparent liquid body containing only the solvent includes: a coating step of making the liquid body permeate a reception layer by discharging a droplet of the liquid body to the reception layer side of a transparent substrate comprising the reception layer; and an observation step of observing the coated area from the side of the other surface of the substrate by applying light to the substrate from the side of one surface of the substrate and transmitting the light through the substrate, in the state of leaving the solvent in the liquid body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
