The present invention relates to an apparatus for searching a hair style type and a method thereof. The present invention provides the method for searching hair style types, including the steps of: receiving at least one type of body information among height, weight, a facial shape, hair condition, gender, and nationality of a user, a picture including the hair style of the user, and a hair style type; receiving the type of hair style requested by the user; and extracting at least one sample from a registrant which corresponds to the received type of hair style and belongs within a range similar to the body information of the user, from a search database for storing the body information according to a plurality of samples from registrants. The present invention provides the hair style information by extracting the registrant sample which corresponds to the type of hair style requested by the user and belongs within the range similar to the body information of the user, from the pre-stored registrant samples. Accordingly, the present invention can share the hair style information among users by providing the hair style information of another user capable of being optimally matched with the user, onto a screen. |
