[Problem] To provide a rolling bearing device for a wheel, the rolling bearing device being configured so that, even if the compression allowance of a seal member for sealing between the inner and outer rings is set to be small, grease does not leak. [Solution] The present rolling bearing device (10) for a wheel comprises: an inner shaft (12); an outer ring (11) disposed on the outer peripheral side of the inner shaft (12) so as to be concentric therewith; balls (13) disposed between the inner shaft (12) and the outer ring (11); and a pair of retainers (20) for retaining the balls (13) in the circumferential direction. A recess (25) which is recessed outward in the radial direction in order to retain grease is formed in the inner peripheral surface of each of the pair of retainers (20) at the portion of the inner peripheral surface which extends from the outer end (22c) to the inner end, in the axial direction, of the inner peripheral surface. |
