The battery assemblies (200) comprise: an insulating case (30) for accommodating a plurality of unit cells (100) with first electrodes thereof being arranged in a row; a first connecting plate (21) for connecting the first electrodes of the plurality of unit cells (100) in parallel; and a second connecting plate (22) for connecting second electrodes of the plurality of unit cells (100) in parallel. The first connecting plate (21) has a first connecting terminal (21a) that extends in the direction opposite to the second connecting plate (22). The second connecting plate (22) has a second connecting terminal (22a) that extends in the same direction as the first connecting terminal (21a). The first connecting terminal (21a) projects outside the case (30). The second connecting terminal (22a) is embedded in the case (30). Battery assemblies (200) that are adjacent in the stacking direction have the first connecting terminal (21a) of one battery assembly and the second connecting terminal (22a) of another battery assembly fitted together and connected in series. The first connecting terminal (21a) of the one battery assembly is embedded in the case (30) of the other battery assembly.</p>
