The dishwasher has a hydraulic circuit that is comprised of a circulating pump (13) for circulating the rinsing liquid. A pump pot (11) is connected to the suction side, for allowing the rinse liquid flow. Sieve elements (20-22) are provided for restraining dirt particles of the rinsing liquid. A cleaning unit (35) is provided for cleaning the sieve elements. A flat filter (20) is provided at the sieve elements, while covering the open side of the washing area of pump pot.
