<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce easily with high purity lithium borofluoride anhydride being important as an electrolyte for lithium cells. <P>SOLUTION: In a wet method, borofluoric acid containing an excessive amount of hydrogen fluoride is reacted with a lithium salt in an amount larger than the equivalent to the lithium salt to produce lithium borofluoride being small in contents of water and lithium fluoride. Lithium borofluoride obtained is then treated with an alcohol or hydrogen fluoride, and the liquids are evaporated by heating in order to reduce the contents of water and lithium fluoride to a very low level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
