<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging roller in which even when torsion is caused in an elastic layer of the charging roller through submissive rotation with a photoreceptor, the torsion may be easily released and the charging roller may minimally slip on the photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: A charging roller comprises a conductive base and an elastic layer formed on the conductive base. The elastic layer includes rubber particles dispersed therein, each rubber particle includes a hollow particle having a gas in a shell of a thermoplastic resin, and the thermoplastic resin includes at least one resin selected from the group consisting of acrylonitrile resins, methacrylonitrile resins, vinylidene chloride resins, vinyl chloride resins, styrene resins, polyurethane resins and polyamide resins. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
