<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter and a receiver capable of simply transmitting and receiving an image signal and an OSD. <P>SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, the transmitter comprises a first scaling unit and a multiplexing unit. The first scaling unit scales the image signal to first resolution. A multiplexing unit assigns the signal value of the scaled image signal, the signal value of the OSD to be composed to the image signal, blend information on the OSD, and depth information on the OSD to the predetermined position of the transmission signal of second resolution larger than the first resolution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
