<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide refractory-lining structure of an iron-making vessel capable of reducing damage to a refractory layer as a work of the iron-making vessel and exceptionally improving usable number of times of the refractory layer as the work. <P>SOLUTION: The refractory-lining structure is a refractory-lining structure of the iron-making vessel for holding held molten iron or molten steel, conveying the held molten iron or molten steel, or subjecting the held molten iron or molten steel to a refining treatment. The structure includes, in the order from the outside of the iron-making vessel, a steel shell 4, a permanent refractory layer 5, and the refractory layer 6 as the work. The refractory layer 6 consists of a refractory having such a material quality that compressive strength of the refractory σ<SB POS="POST">C</SB>(MPa), thermal expansion coefficient α(1/K), static elastic modulus E(MPa), Poisson's ratio ν(-), and the difference in temperature ΔT(K) between room temperature and the service temperature of the refractory layer 6 satisfy the relationship shown by the following formula (1): 0.7≥(1/σ<SB POS="POST">C</SB>)×[α×E×ΔT/(1-ν)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
