PURPOSE: An apparatus for collecting insulation gas and a method for operating the same are provided to suppress the discharging of insulation gas into atmosphere and to compactize the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for collecting insulation gas includes a collecting part(102), a storing part(104), and a refining part(106). The collecting part is in connection with an insulating unit and collects and pressurizes SF_6. The storing part is in connection with the collecting part and liquefies and stores the collected SF_6. The refining part eliminates impurities from the SF_6 and feeds-back the SF_6 to the collecting part. The refining part includes hollow fiber membrane(126) and vacuum pressure swing adsorption(128). The hollow fiber membrane and the vacuum pressure swing adsorption are serially arranged with respect to the storing part. |
