PURPOSE: A cylinder block structure is provided to simplify a process of developing a cylinder head gasket by increasing the rigidity of an upper part of the cylinder block and improving sealing performance. CONSTITUTION: A cylinder block structure is formed by being integrally assembled with a water jacket(3) with a water jacket insert(4). The water jacket insert comprises a flow hole for coolants. The water jacket insert generally encloses a bore(2), which forms a combustion chamber in a cylinder block. A plurality of the flow hole for the coolants is formed along a diameter of the water jacket insert. A lower part of the water jacket insert is formed into the tapered shape. Protrusions are integrally formed on an outer surface of the water jacket insert.
